Jay began her financial services career in 1980 and joined Stifel in 2019. Her experience includes positions with Merrill Lynch, PNC Investments, Hilliard Lyons, and Wells Fargo Advisors. As leader of The Mastilak Wealth Management Group, she spearheads the investment structure, asset management, and wealth planning strategies for the team.
Jay earned the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® certification, which identifies those individuals who have met the experience requirements of the CFP Board, have successfully completed financial planning coursework, and have passed the CFP Certification Examination covering the following areas: the financial planning process, risk management, investments, tax planning and management, retirement and employee benefits, and estate planning. Additionally, she holds Series 7, 24, 63, and 65 securities licenses, as well as life, health, and variable insurance licenses (including annuities).
Jay helps clients pursue their lifelong goals. Her practice is small by design, allowing her to create a highly customized experience and be present for clients when needed. She is dedicated to educating and empowering clients so they may make well-informed decisions.
A long-time resident of Pittsburgh, Jay attended the Community College of Allegheny County and Duquesne University. She lives in Moon Township with her husband, Mark, two King Charles Cavaliers, two English Setters, and two cats of mixed breed. She is the proud mother of two grown, successful children and “Birdie” to a new grandson. She is active in her church, serving as a Eucharistic Minister and Adorer and volunteer. She enjoys being physically active, the outdoors, entertaining, and remains highly active in the community. In previous years, she served as president and member of the Financial Planning Association of Pittsburgh.
Kate began her financial services career in 2011 and joined Stifel in 2019. As the Client Relationship Manager of The Mastilak Wealth Management Group, Kate is responsible for all day-to-day administrative operations of the group.
Prior to Stifel, she worked at Janney Montgomery Scott, PNC, and Morgan Stanley. Kate earned a bachelor’s degree in Rhetoric & Communication from the University of Pittsburgh, where she was also a four-year varsity letter winner on the Women’s Swimming and Diving Team. She holds Series 7 and 66 securities licenses, as well as life, health, and variable insurance licenses.
Kate considers herself a lifelong resident of the Pittsburgh community. She and her husband, Dan, are members of the Pitt Varsity Letter Club and recently moved to Murrysville, Pennsylvania, with their young son, Luke, and daughter, Elliana. She spends most of her free time doing do-it-yourself home projects.
Ryan began his financial services career in 2016 with Vanguard and joined Stifel in 2024. He earned the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® certification from the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards Inc., which identifies individuals who have met the experience requirements of the CFP Board, have successfully completed financial planning coursework, and have passed the CFP® Certification Examination.
In his practice, Ryan emphasizes financial education as part of the wealth management process, working closely with clients and their families. He has experience planning for high-net-worth families, helping them navigate their complex financial needs. Ryan also specializes in education savings, guiding families through tax-advantaged strategies to pursue their education goals.
He earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (BSBA) with a concentration in Finance from Robert Morris University and holds Series 7, 63, and 66 securities licenses.
Ryan has lived in both Philadelphia and Dallas before returning to his home town of Pittsburgh with his fiancée, Nicole.
In his free time, Ryan enjoys walking his golden doodle, Honey, as well as cooking, gardening, photography, and exploring museums focusing on contemporary art.
